The mission of Madera Unified School District Dual Language Immersion Program is to support all students to reach high levels of academic achievement and biliteracy, in a safe and engaging learning environment, that values multiculturalism while preparing students to be college and career ready in an increasingly competitive 21st-century global economy.
The Madera Unified School District Dual Language Immersion Program will be widely recognized throughout California for students’ high levels of academic achievement and biliteracy that is developed through rigorous standards-based instruction in Spanish and English that enhances student motivation and engagement in their learning.
Dual Language Immersion (DLI) teaches literacy and content in two languages and prepares students with 21st century skills of global awareness with an expanded worldview.
